Christopher Tolkien was involved in the work of his father from a very young age on. He supported him and edited and published over 20 books on Midle-earth after his father’s death. His latest work, Beren and Lúthien, again made a huge impact. Recently it became known, that Christopher resigned as director of the Tolkien Estates. Today marks the birthday of a man who, like no other, loved, learned, gathered and shared the work of his father. Let us raise a glas and congratulate Christopher Tolkien on his 93rd birthday.
