Summer road trips often include visiting or driving by roadside attractions. Michigan is home to the Uniroyal Giant Tire, located along I-94 in Detroit.

This 80-foot diameter wheel was constructed to operate as a Ferris wheel at the 1964 New York World’s Fair. After the fair it moved to Michigan and was reassembled as a static display.  President Ford’s motorcade passed by the Uniroyal Giant Tire during his trip to Detroit on October 10, 1975.
