“…Leee heard the lilting strains of American crooner Jim Reeves drifting out from one of the upstairs rooms and excused himself to investigate. ‘There was this little guy sitting there crying’…As they sat listening to Reeves’ dulcet tones, the sombre-looking ‘little guy’ - appearing totally oblivious to his surroundings - sat toying with a clockwork doll which Leee was surprised to find had  a safety-pin through its nose  and a Durex fastened around its neck…”
