“Maybe Khans kill people without looking them in the face..”

I love to over analyse how McMurphy and Jessup react to Benny pulling out his gun in the fnv intro. McMurphy’s very visible discomfort and Jessup’s total surprise like no one told him that they were gonna actual Kill this courier–he thought he was just digging a grave to scare them! 

 Even though they’re tiny little background details, they’re very character establishing. It makes me very invested in McMurphy especially which is a shame how he just ends up dead offscreen with no real explanation or reason. Their behaviour doesn’t really fit with their characterisation in their comic All Roads either, since that implies that Jessup is the one uncomfortable with the ordeal. 

I know people already like to pay attention to Jessup but McMurphy has a lot of little moments in the intro that give him a lot of character from directly arguing with Benny while he’s trying to have his moment, to glancing at Jessup and taking a deep breath as though he’s trying to cool his nerves. Have I mentioned how sad I am that he’s killed off before you can talk to him? anyway
