It takes time to come to terms with being kept in chains. Freedom is always portrayed as some wonderful, glorious bliss. Yet, being free from freedom can be wonderfully empowering, wonderfully comforting. Shackle and chain remind me that I cannot decide. I am property, put in my place - put there by a loving, caring owner, who knows how to nurture the best in me.
