When you’re single, it’s impossible to resist the jealousy that bubbles up in your throat like bile the instant you see a couple enjoying one another in public. It’s a physical reaction, a sudden urge to lash out, if only silently, mentally, and in your own head. How dare they. How verydare they.

The problem is, once you’ve managed to make it into that everyday nirvana of a relationship, it’s hard not to do just that. You want to enjoy one another, because, hey, you do. You don’t think about that fuming man, alone in the corner, glaring at you with both his jealous eyes. 

That’s compounded within a D/s relationship. I want to touch you, make my Dominance known and felt, constantly. Turn your head with thumb and forefinger at your chin and force my lips against yours, own your mouth for a few fleeting moments. A visceral reminder, a constant distraction for you to dwell upon. More than that, I want to be able to claim what’s mine whenever I like, under the table, beside me on the bus, whereever. 

Which, poor jealous single man in the corner, fuming and grumbling, I’m afraid isn’t going to make things any easier.
