Sir Robert Winston is much more famous than his son, in UK! He’s a renowned fertility specialist and campaigner, and became a household name through his science programmes for the BBC - notably Child Of Our Time, which started in 2000, and follows children who were born that year, revisiting every few years.
He comes across as very warm and funny. One of my fave clips is from his series The Human Body, where he gradually gets drunk on camera, while his stats are measured. It’s hilarious watching him dissolve into giggles and eventually start to nod off - infuriatingly, I can’t find it!
