i got a chance to write chloé again, because you know me. i’m me.

important: this fic was written before i had seen any of the show past season one. any mistakes are on me but also canon is a sandbox and i am kicking over thomas’ castle

Chloé fluffs her hair. And then fluffs it again. And then checks her reflection in her phone camera. 

She looks fine. Stunning, even. Her makeup, as always, is flawless, and she spent almost two whole hours putting together this outfit. Which yes, might be a little extreme, but she thinks that extreme is needed in this situation. 

It feels needed. Her pulse is racing, and her palms are sweaty and gross. Ew. 

She takes a deep breath in through her nose and leans against the wall of the café. Things are going to be fine. Even if she doesn’t know where she stands, Chloé knows who she is. Four years away from Paris and her family and all this—she isn’t the person she was when she graduated, and she is proud of that fact. 

It’s just a question of if other people can see that or not.
