Halls of Carcosa - Color Exercise
He dreamt of long, unending halls, with ceilings as high as the sky.
He dreamt of twisting corridors, maze-like pathways into unknown chambers.
He dreamt of bottomless pits, where the screams of long lost subjects pleaded to serve once again.
The Eye-of-All sends him these visages, guiding him into his enlightenment. But the King in Yellow had seen enough. At the end of the Halls of Carcosa, he found his throne, a symbol of his old rule, torn into pieces.
What once was could not be. The Ravens of the World whispered to him the Winds of Change. He knew what had to be done.
The King in Yellow would adorn his new Crown, and he would find his ascension. His subjects, who wished to be free of his torment, would serve him once again
For the word of The King in Yellow was law.
His word was Reality. His word was Truth.
