I am not particularly keen on using inwithsperare like that. I would have just used the accusative: Deum Speramus (as in deos sperabimus).
You needn’t have been so cautious. :) sperare + in + ablative works. In Psalm 42:5, the Latin Vulgate reads,
quare tristis es, anima mea? et quare conturbas me? spera in Deo, quoniam adhuc confitebor illi; salutare vultus mei, et Deus meus.
“Why are you sorrowful, my soul? And why do you trouble me? Hope in God, because I will still give praise to him; he is the salvation of my countenance, and my God.”
