He liked to watch her, but he didn’t want her putting on a show. So he would keep out of sight, and hopefully out of mind. At least, the forefront of it. He was always dwelling somewhere in her subconscious.

She liked to be watched, but she knew what he wanted, so she’d put it from her mind. Try not to make it too obvious she knew, allow the seed of doubt to survive. 

But she’d still put on a show, just a subtle one. She couldn’t help it.
