Kupeesa: “Dahk Centaur” Large, multi-legged animals thrive in the jagged mountains of the valley and are masters of the incline. Both males and females are horned, and the larger, more experienced specimens defend their territories at the highest peaks where it is safest.

Despite their bulk, they are fast and can run and jump across the mountains at incredible speeds. Their smaller limbs help grab ahold while they graze on mossy cliff walls, and pull branches to their mouths. The bony marrow of their single split horn is prized for its durability.

The Dakh clan keep a domesticated form of the Kupeesa as livestock, but the wild, peak-dwelling specimens are a prized prey, and it is a ritual amongst adolescents to try and hunt one within its territory. Incredibly dangerous, but success is treated with utmost respect.

Some of the best of the bone knives that the Dakh are known for are made from the Kupeesa’s horn bone.
