A Word of warning; This whole post will be a rant, if you don’t want to read it, don’t.
I was looking at the governments plans for spending cuts. So far, all I can see, is the poorer majority, paying the price for the richer minorities mistakes.
Being a student, you could say my view is biased, what with the cost of a degree going up to £7500 (despite the lib dem’s promises to make it FREE), however, i scraped through, my degree is costing me £3290. What does affect me though, is the drop in loans, the rise in taxes, the lack of jobs (with 490,000 people about to be sacked by the government that is NOT going to improve) the rising cost of living…the list goes on. And why do we all have to pay for it? Because some suited, arrogant bankers types royally screwed up. Seriously. Now they’re back to making billions and handing out massive bonuses. And what does the government do? Tax us. Not the billion pound financial businesses that caused the recession.
I didn’t vote. Not because I chose not to (well, i do hate most - if not all - politicians), but my poll card never came. Seriously. I waited, and I waited, I never got it. If I did get my vote, it would have gone to the lib dem’s and how pissed would I have been now?
The lib dems signed an agreement with student unions to at least drop the fee’s. And now, nick clegg is so far up david cameron’s arse its hard to tell when one person ends and the other begins.
I have applied endless for jobs to help with my money woes, but a statistic i saw recently, said that for everyone job that was available at least 7 people applied for it. 7. So, statistically I have a 1 in 7 chance of getting a job when I apply for it (if I can find one) now, my chances drop, because I have lectures, and hours I can not work, making me a less eligable choice. So, its ridiculously hard to get a job.
All the while more and more people are getting sacked, businesses are falling apart and banks make more profit.
Another thing that worries me is the amount of cuts to the MoD. Thats not like your council office’s, thats the people that keep this country safe.
The problem with David Cameron is the fact he never went without, infact barely any politicians had a rough upbringing. They all come from rich families, with their stiff upper lip. Elections are fast becoming pointless, all politicians are one and the same. Liars. Its all they do. They lie. They lie to you to get into power, do what they want until everyone is angry, and then leave.
For all it matters we should be a dictatorship.
I hate the government. I had David Cameron. He is the smuggest git I have ever seen. Even when he’s being serious, he looks smug. I hate it.
Today was a weird day. I’m not too sure if it was good or bad. I had a full day of lectures…but dont really recall doing anything…at all. Its odd.
Managed to see Linux Zen Master Graham racing down the A30 at over 80mph in his little Suzuki Alto, he looked so chilled and laid back with his shades on. The man is cool.
Thrown my shoulders out, thanks to carrying instruments for a certain someone.
Please, someone, buy Liam a trolley or something.
Have a christening to go to on Sunday, and no, I am not a god parent. Apparently, because I am an uncle, im immediately defunct for the role. Either way, the gift is pretty much sorted, waiting for one more part. Should be a fun day.
Minecraft servers are still being attacked. No idea why they do it. Its a completely pointless thing to do. People just want to annoy others. The internet has become one big Troll fest.

seriously. Go bring down some big government websites, or, I dunno, make itunes implode and deleted all the music it has…do something creative with your talents! Sheesh. leave minecraft alone.

The wave of assignments has finally started to reach the shore, should be good, busy, hard working fun. And I WILL NOT procrastinate…not this time. =D

Guess what was found today…an epic retro gameboy! I am so getting batteries for this bad boy and firing it up! It still has a super mario cartridge in it, I’m not sure which mario it is, the label is semi destroyed, but if this works… ^_^
Today is a big day for me. A day which ends the blurriness of what i see. For I am about to join the world of the spectacled.
Thats right, today, I get my glasses.
I always thought, as a kid, that my eyes will always be brilliant, that my vision would never deteriorate, but alas I was wrong.
Some hereditary traits and a few too many hours spent in front of a screen later, and I land here, awaiting some glasses to improve my sight.
I know I sound melodramtic and anyone would think I’m giving up a kidney or a leg, but it is a step into the unknown for me, much needed yes, but still a step. How many pairs will i go through? Will my eye’s continue to worsen?
Its the beginning of a long slippery slope…potentially anyway.
It doesnt help I reach my 22nd birthday soon. My childhood and youthful days of uncaring behaviour are over. I will official, irrefutably, be an adult.
