Screams filled the air and the BAU team was on alert.
“This is pure pandemonium,” Rossi said, his eyes wide. The rest of the team nodded at the assessment.
Hotch chuckled and pushed the sleeves of his shirt up, ready to work.
“Too late to back out,” he said, leading the group onto the grounds. They passed underneath a large banner declaring the entrance to the annual Spring Carnival. Elementary-aged children ran around, their parents and guardians following their kids around.
Jack tugged on his father’s hand.
“Look, there’s Miss (L/N)!” he said, pointing into the crowd. The team peered over the children to see a young woman, dressed casually in a cute cotton print dress with a soft cardigan over it. The most eye-catching thing was the delicate flower crown nestled in her hair.
“Oh my god, she is adorable,” Garcia gushed. “Is that Jack’s teacher?”

The way your eyes would light up when he walked into the room was very noticeable. Being around profilers and being one yourself made it hard to keep secrets and your personal life a secret. You knew it was wrong. He was your boss. You couldn’t fall for him and he definitely couldn’t fall for you. It was work regulations. You knew he wouldn’t feel the same so you did everything to stop the feelings you felt for him. It was three am when Aaron had called everyone in. You yawned as you sat down at the round table next to Emily. “It’s always too early for this.” You mumbled, sitting back in your chair. You looked up from the table to see Aaron walk in. He was in his usual blue button up with a red tie. Your heart fluttered but Emily nudging you in the side brought you out from your daydream. You rolled your eyes at her and paid attention to what Hotch had to say.
