“Patience is power.
Patience is not an absence of action;
rather it is “timing”
it waits on the right time to act,
for the right principles
and in the right way.”
― Fulton J. Sheen {May 2015}

Now you surround, ‘round, 'round me
Didn’t think I could be found
Barefoot we tear through the streets
Don’t touch the ground
A long way, way, way from comfort
Keep our backs to the cold
I need you now

I’ll be your hero if you need someone to save you
To the bone, to the marrow when it’s cold, I will lay with you

I got a few messages on how and how much I edit my pictures so I thought I’d give you an example of my average edit of a picture. In most cases I use Lightroom as well as Photoshop.

Usually I try to get rid of distracting and annoying stuff in the background like a fence or stuff like that if possible, which won’t always work (I usually don’t post those pictures if it annoys me too much). I also “fix” it if he is missing patches of his coat due to being a wild boy among wild boys. And I play a little with the “atmosphere”, meaning the colors. Enhance a little here, give it a bit more contrast there, add one or two layers in Photoshop, depending on the image and what’s possible, my mood and so on.

Because I get asked this a lot, too: No I don’t use presets. I tried but what works for one image won’t work for another and I find it more annoying to adjust those presets than when I start from scratch and figure out what works and what doesn’t.
