First up we have Mei Raiden/Kiana Kaslana
“two gay idiots both take on godmode powers that are super dangerous to them in order to protect the other”. Mei is the Mom Friend. Kiana is the ditzy moron with a good heart.
Next is Kallen Kaslana/Yae Sakura!
Both are incredible badasses. But Yae gets corrupted by evil forces (the same evil forces that give godmode powers) and Kallen is forced to strike her down and break through her possession. Tragic lovers torn apart. It’s amazing and angsty as fuck.
After that is Bronya Zaychik/Seele Vollerei!
With bonus lightmode and darkmode ships! Bronya is a ruthless warrior cyborg fighter of evil who goes soft for her beloved friend she met in the orphanage she was sent to as a child. Seele is a soft rainbow bean who goes APESHIT in order to protect Bronya.
Next is Bianka (codename Durandal)/Rita Rossweisse
Rita is the ever-faithful maid and servant of prodigy Durandal, the strongest (and youngest) warrior on the team. Despite being her servant, Rita exudes Big Dick Energy and will stop at nothing to fulfill her duty as Bianka’s second in command. It’s very Sebastian/Ciel. Complete with Rita being frequently demon-themed. I love it.
Final bonus round for a non-canon ship that’s fond in my heart for being Big Muscled Badass x Smol Muscled Badass. Himeko Murata/Fu Hua.
Behold, the only time Fu Hua will ever be taller than Himeko lmao. This is Reserved, Godlike Powerhouse (Fu Hua) x Drunk Wine Aunt Powerhouse (Himeko). Fu Hua is an ancient and incredibly powerful sage and Himeko is a “I just want to fucking retire already” evil-fighting veteran. They disagree on a lot of points but are ultimately on the same side.
