Etsuko Kono (Satomi Ishihara) aspires to be a fashion editor at her dream publishing company known to publish all her favourite fashion magazines. However, she was rejected seven times as they already have an editor.
Etsuko tried to convince the interviewers for the eight time that she knows about their magazines and how she can improve their contents further to gain more audience and customers to generate more sales, but to no avail.
One of the interviewers, Naoto Takehara (Goro Kishitani) decides to take her in. Unknown to Etsuko who thinks she got a job as an editor came to realise on her first day that she is hired to work in the back office as a proofreader.
Her job is to correct typo errors and inadequate parts of documents for the editor, before they are sent for publishing. Devastated, she nonetheless give it a try giving herself three months to pick up whatever skills she can get.
Soon she began to realise the importance of proofreading and figure out ways to edit the documents herself before handing over to the editor, creating a rift between the two, while Naoto find this new development interesting.
Takeko Nakano (Meisa Kuroki) led the Onna Musha (non-military female warriors who defends the household when the husbands go out to war) against the Imperial forces outside of Tsuruga Castle which led to her demise, leaving Yae Niijima (Haruka Ayase) to lead the last line of defence at the castle itself, as Lord Matsudaira Katamori (Ayano Go) ponders the fate of his people.
Nagano Mei will be starring in TBS summer drama “Unicorn ni Notte”.
She will play Sanae Narukawa who is a 26-year-old CEO of an educational start-up company called “Dream Pony”. This marks her first first solo lead role in a prime-time drama. Nishijima Hidetoshi also is rumoured to star in this drama.
