I am not sure if “La Bells Boliede” refers to a venue or the artiste in this case. I have opted for the later in this case. The image originated from a postcard from the 1900s of a performer from Vienna (Wiens) and once again research has yet to unearth anything further. The caption seems to indicate a claim that “Boliede” is the best female Impersonator in Vienna and one has to admit that the image certainly portrays great skill. For the technically minded, I grey-scaled the image, removed some of the blemishes from the original and enhanced the caption from years of fading.
