This was filmed 15 years after she wrote the optimistic essay “Some Thoughts on the Right Way (for us) to Love the Cuban Revolution.” A classic example of her shifting opinions; though one might argue that this isn’t a flip-flopping on Sontag’s part, but a response to a regime that flip-flopped.

This is my classical animation film. It’s about a guy who has to get out of the shower multiple times to answer the phone. Basically, I said “if I’m going to have to draw the same thing every day for the next 4 months, I might as well make it something I want to draw.” Hence all the muscles and stuff.
