You know what’s awesome… This girl is getting back into the ICU! The best part about nursing is the ability to choose so many different specialties. I’ve done cardiac tele, adult ICU, NICU, labor and delivery, pediatric ICU, pediatric (hospital / doctor’s office), and telephone triage. I love the adult ICU. I love the adrenaline you get when someone’s life is in your hands and you must think on your feet and fast. I love seeing patients on their deathbeds make a full recovery and I love being there for families when they must let a loved one go. I will stay at the pediatric office because I absolutely love everyone that I work with and kids are just too much fun!! I’ll be PRN (as needed) and pick up shifts here and there. I will also be PRN in the ICU however I plan on picking up a day a week there. I’m so happy to have made these changes in my life. It allows me so much flexibility in my own schedule to run my cookie buisness, be a nurse, yet be a momma to my boys and a wife to my main man.
