We particularly love letters from poets, because they really know how to use their words well, as this letter from poet Thomas Lynch to Portland poet Carlos Reyes shows: “I was up that way to buy a donkey – a mate ass to provide comfort and consort to my piebald jack. I call Charles and Camilla after the lovers on the neighboring island.”
