Learning is a process (yes I know how cliché this sounds) and oftentimes, not a pleasant one. I know what I am talking about. ⁣

For me, 2020 is a year dedicated to learning and personal growth. This is why I want to learn something new each and every month (check #huddlechallenge2020 to join me).⁣

This month is all about calligraphy and if you are an experienced calligraphy-ninja-master you can tell by today’s pic that I’m a true beginner.⁣

But I’m ok with that and I’m going to tell you why you should be ok with being a beginner at something you really want to learn too.⁣

Being a beginner is great to get to know yourself and understand what you are capable of. Here’s why/how:⁣

2️⃣You learn how to motivate yourself.⁣
⁣
3️⃣You understand that the big picture is more relevant than all the tiny parts.⁣

4️⃣You value your progress over the perfect outcome.⁣

5️⃣You develop empathy for others who are on a learning journey too.⁣
⁣
6️⃣You experience the joy of small wins.⁣
⁣
7️⃣You can teach others about your skills and provide value no matter how little you only know.⁣
