⚫Located in County Kerry, Ireland.
⚫It name translates back to ‘Bright Stone’.
⚫The stone ringfort was built around the 7th century AD as a defended farmstead.
⚫The ringfort has 25 m (82 ft) internal diameter with outer walls 4 m (13 ft) high and 5 m (16 ft) thick ,with only one entrance facing east.
⚫There are several stairways all along the inner side of the wall.
⚫Inside the fort are the remains of a circular stone structure with 2 entrances opposite each other.
⚫It was excavated and restored in the 1990’s.
