Lying is hard, but not because it’s difficult.
Lying is hard, because after a while, it becomes simple.
Simple,
second nature,
a necessity, even.

And it is terrible.
All for a fleeting sense of safety.
Safety from your fears,
from consequences,
your past…

It’s painful.
Painful to see how your lies are believed so blindly.
How they’re taken as the truth, without a single doubt.
You know they deserve the truth.
You know they deserve it.
You know they do.
You know.

You.

Day 2 of ozqrow week 2022, in collaboration with @cara-kira​ !
For this day, we chose the corruption prompt and stretched the definition of the word a bit. Before the events of V3, Ozpin worries he may have “tricked” Qrow in believing in him so blindly, and fears what he might think of him when he learns the truth.

For this day, Cara wrote the poem and drew Oz and Qrow in every panel, I drew every other character and added some light coloring as well!
