Fifty years ago today, humanity set foot for the first time on an unknown world 250,000 miles away–a place considered equally mysterious and unattainable for so long throughout human history.
•
While I wasn’t alive in 1969, I find myself longing for a time when boundaries between countries dissolve and we’re all united as humans in a moment that captures our imaginations. Because our curiosity and awe and wonder for space is innate to who we are. I can’t help but wonder when and where our next moment of equal magnitude will be, but I do hope it happens soon.
