There’s something viscerally exhilarating about the typographic work of Seattle-based graphic designer Tyler Spangler @tyler_spangler which he describes as “a rainbow flavoured popsicle dipped in the ocean and placed on a rock to melt”. Bursting with vibrant colours and hallucinatory patterns, his images are imbued with a therapeutic quality – it’s no accident that Tyler studied psychology in college. In fact, his work is underpinned as much by his desire to quell his anxiety as his need to make sense of the world.
