It’s eerie draw.  I am forever fascinated with man-made buildings and structures which once served a specific enough purpose to have incredible man-hours dedicated to their construction, but which were at some point deemed as no longer serving that purpose, and thus abandoned.  What an incredible concept.  The things that seem so important to us in the moment, or in a period of our lives, may be useless and worthless in another context.  Humbling, and a bit mind-bending.
