Pirate captain who’s been on a decades long search for the elusive merfolk he swears up and down he has seen and knows is out there yet no one believes him and thinks him an utter drunken fool.. comes face to face one night on the dock with a curious mermaid who’s developed an interest with the little man from observing him from afar at the water’s surface.

The fascination for the other is mutual between the two.
