I’m teaming up with the creator of Kipo, @radfordsechrist, to bring you my very own online class, Color and Light! The class will be focused primarily on learning the fundamentals of value, contrast, tone, exposure, hue, saturation, and light and then using those tools to elevate your paintings beyond reality. I’ll also be talking about the day-to-day of various industry jobs that utilize color, and give my advice on how to construct a painting portfolio and effectively use social media to promote your work.
As someone who never went to animation school and grew up far away from the hub of the entertainment industry in LA, I definitely understand the struggle of trying to break in. The goal of this class is to pass on what I’ve learned on my own and help you create beautifully atmospheric portfolio paintings that you can be proud of.
