“That’s your plan?” You stared at the angel, wide-eyed. “You’re going in there and that’s your plan?”

He lifted his hands in a vague shrug. “I have to do something. I can’t just stand here. i want—I want to be useful. I have no right to ask this of you, but will you help me?”

“Cas…This is by far the dumbest plan you’ve ever had… Of course, I’ll help!” He watched in disbelief as a smile grew on your face and you turned to dig into the bag in the trunk of your car. 

“Are—are you sure? It’s going to be dangerous.”

You let out a loud laugh and spun around again, shaking your head at him. “In this job? Everything is dangerous.” You held up a bottle of holy water and smirked at him. “Let’s go fuck some demons up!”

He wasn’t exactly sure what made him do it, but the angel grabbed you and tugged you against him forcefully. He hesitated only a split second before kissing you deeply. Your hands were still full of your gear but you leaned into him and kissed him back, sparks flying, fireworks…time slowed. But the angel suddenly came back into himself and pulled back.

You stared up at him stunned into silence.

“Uhh—I’m sorry. I don’t know why I did that. I mean—I’ve wanted to do that for a long time but—”

The stunned expression on your face melted into a smile and you dropped your gear carelessly to the ground, looped your arms around his neck, and pulled his lips back to yours. It was passionate and fiery and you couldn’t help smiling into his lips as you ran your fingers through his thick locks until both of you were breathless… You stared into his bright blue eyes as your heart whirred in your chest. His hands were still pressing into your lower back, keeping you snugly against him.

“Okay. We can’t die because…. this needs more exploration and—and continuation,” you said through a starry-eyed smile.

He looked like he was still in complete disbelief and nodded. “Yes. I agree. Wholeheartedly.”
