When someone asks me this, it’s hard to tell if they’re trying to figure out why anyone would be bi instead of pan (or poly) or if they’re just genuinely curious about why Iuse bi. (Same when people ask me why I use they/them pronouns.) I am unfortunately used to having to give a 500-word essay backing up why I identify a certain way.
