They thought the giant machines were unbreakable. He decided to test that belief for his own glory and he found them, at least this one, to be quite breakable. It only cost a few thousand men and the land being rendered nearly unlivable as an almost impenetrable toxic forest sprang up around the fallen titan almost overnight.
