In May of 2019, I challenged myself make an illustration every day for a month (tenuously connected to Mermay). Shortly afterwards, I started learning Blender and started thinking about that series of illustrations through this new lens of 3D. This is the first adaptation of one of those illustrations into 3D. The original “Clay May” was made in under 2 hours, but in addition to being made in 3D, this version also took upwards of 25 hours to complete.
