I’ve experienced the launch of Apple products before.  Three years ago in NYC, when they launched the iPad2, I saw lines at all the shops go around the block and then some.  But at least the atmosphere was a happy one.  

It’s such a stark contrast in Asia.  The streets and walkways were crowded and the tension was as thick as the pollution and humidity.  Phone calls were made to friends and relatives asking what was a reasonable inflated price they would pay.    With the launch of the #iPhone6 and #iPhone6Plus today in Hong Kong, there were peddlers sitting right outside the Apple Store, with new phones stacked up next to them, selling them at a premium to desperate early adopters.
