//a passage from the return of the king
to anyone who tags my lotr art, don’t tag any of it as ‘race-bending’ or anything of the sort, as it is my interpretation of the books setting and characters.
//as well as relate my drawings to your own OCs, yourself, etc.
thank you.
long hair exchanged for a battle unwanted
I do like to think that Eowyn cut her hair tremendously to go to war. Not only to not be spotted by the king and the other Rohirrim, as they most likely would’ve stopped her;
But also because long hair can be grabbed at with ease; and no amount of hair, I picture for her, can fit under a helmet.
//It also feels like the men of Rohirrim treasured their hair, and all the ones described in the books have braids or, at the very least, it was stated that they have long hair.
And with this Eowyn defys not only Theodens wish for her to stay, and the tradition which ties her to that of Rohirrims men, but also the prophecy of the Witch-King.
farewell.

maia, elven (maia + elven), sindarin elven, dúnedain, dwarven, and hobbit.
//dúnedain are self explanatory.
dwarven ears are bigger than hobbit ears, but are not pointy as eleven nor curved in shape as much as hobbit ones are.
