2018
aka the year I leveled up

Sorry I don’t have an art summary again since I didn’t draw much outside of work. My resolution last year was to rest more so whenever I had free time I just wanted to relax. So here’s another silly doodle of myself I drew a few months ago haha

2018 was definitely an improvement from 2017. Last year my cat, Kris, started getting sick more frequently with kidney insufficiency and then I started taking on freelance boards to help pay for her vet bills, which left me with little time to take care of myself. But now I’m more experienced and I have better control of the situation so it’s been a lot easier! Kris is doing great right now and I’m not as nervous about boarding so things are going smoothly.

Biggest accomplishment this year was I got promoted to storyboard artist on Marvel Rising around mid-June! When I first started on Rising, I expressed interested that I was hoping to get bumped up soon and my director was really supportive in mentoring me. It was definitely scary when I got my first handout but it’s been really exciting being able to have complete freedom on how I want to interpret these characters. I had fun on Rising but soon I’ll be moving onto another Marvel project. I can’t say what it is yet but I’m just glad I get another year to draw more superheroes!! <3

Other accomplishments this year include getting a new car, traveling around Kyushu for the first time, and practicing self-care! 2018 has been great and I’m excited to see what I’ll achieve in the New Year!

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!
