What a difference 70 years makes juxtaposition of Bentley R-Type Continental, 1952&Bentley Continental GT Speed, 2022. Bentley Motors is celebrating 70 years since the start of production of the Continental coupé. Production began in May 1952 with first customer deliveries in June that year. At the time it was  the fastest 4-seat series production car in the world, and also the most expensive. Just 208 series 1 R-Type Continentals were produced. All three modern generations of the Continental GT have an exterior design inspired by the R-Type Continental. The ‘power line’ that traces backwards from the front wheel arch, the muscular rear haunch and the sloping roofline are all modern interpretations of the same features from the R-Type.

What a difference 70 years makes juxtaposition of Chevrolet Corvette, 1953 & Chevrolet Corvette Z06 70th Anniversary Edition. 2023. 2023 marks 70 years of Corvette production, one of the the longest running nameplates in automotive history. Chevrolet will celebrate with a special 70th Anniversary Edition package. The cars will be finished in either White Pearl Metallic Tri-coat or Carbon Flash Metallic and come with special wheels featuring commemorative wheel centre caps.
