I had a lot of fun with this piece. Painting is a lot different than what I usually do! I’ve always enjoyed the atmosphere of art galleries – quiet and mysterious, but if you give your patience to listen closely, the works of art will lend you their secrets and knowledge – just like Akane Kurashiki.Hey guys!! This was my second piece I made for Hope, Faith, Love, Luck, a zine dedicated to the game 9 Hours 9 Persons 9 Doors (which I highly recommend!).
Listen. You know I love a character when the fanart I draw has a background. I fucking love Ace even though he’s such a douchebag. I prefer to pretend that his little snap at the end didn’t happen, because I think he’s much better as a cool, collected villain, not the kind with silly maniacal laughter. Anyways, my only inspiration here was to depict a scene that we don’t get to see firsthand in the game. This one was done entirely in Copic marker, and I love love love how it turned out! Coloring isn’t something I enjoy very much, but using Copics is always pretty fun.
