Reached the final art deadline for my upcoming children’s book, A Field Guide to Mermaids! This is my first dive (ha) into both writing AND illustrating the same piece, and the whole thing has been fraught with COVID complications since I first signed the contract in that fateful March of 2020. It’s so thrilling to see it coming together—my designer in particular did a simply stunning job marrying the images and text. Can’t wait for it to go to publication! Look for it this coming fall from Henry Holt Books!
