It’s been exactly one year since the demo for A Mage Reborn was first posted on the Choice of Games forums! I am continuously awed by the amount of support and love that the game has received, and will work hard to ensure that the quality of work remains at the top of its game as time goes by.
In the meantime, here is a commissioned piece of the White Fangs to celebrate, courtesy of the incredible Yesa! An Arcadian piece will also be released in the future, likely when the game gets published. x)

Smaller update this time around, at only roughly 12k-13k words of fresh content, (the demo file has a technically higher wordcount due to how much of the scenes are shared between one another). Currently the game completes all paths of the Jiasei Blue Harvest festival, meaning two additional scenes for Eli, one for Yu, and minor additions to F’s second scene. There is also an additional variation to Eli’s first scene depending on whether or not you chose to break away from Arcadia!
Other than that, there have been minor tweaks made to Saine’s scene, namely the letter being brought up if you had chosen to write it to Saine all the way back in Chapter 5.
And I think that about covers everything! A normal-sized update should follow around this time next month, but for now I hope this can somewhat tide you over!
Your old saves should still work! Please remember that if you get a game-breaking error relating to the evar variable, or if Eli is missing their pronouns, you will need to load a Post-Demo 2.5 save!
@mage-parivir, my mc, Fey, doesn’t necessarily hate them or anything (especially not Eli) but just doesn’t really appreciate being dragged back to life and pressed into service for someone he doesn’t know so *peace sign*
Sorry about that, Fey! Just hold on a little longer (and by that, I mean for the remainder of Book 2)!

Recently, I’ve started a trend of beta reading for IF games (or just playing and replaying, shh) and while it hasn’t helped my procrastinating any, I have found quite a few gems I’d like to promote you guys to read in your spare time.

Fey looks so cool! He also looks very Done with It All, which is a very common reaction from mages to the stuff I put them through, aha. The peek of shoulder versus the very loose robe is an inspired choice!

Her fits are so cool! Ash goes very well with her monochromatic color palette, and far be it from anyone to criticize Rune for her callsign choice when Yu has the most unimaginative name of the lot, haha.
This update contains 26k words’ worth of new content, but the demo file has a technically higher wordcount due to the newly-added feature for Book I: achievements! I had a lot of fun creating them as well as attaching the associated flavor texts, and they should bring a breath of fresh air to replays for those who are so inclined. They are available in both the public and Patreon builds.
Other than that, the update focuses very heavily on arc setup and Yotai worldbuilding, and also on relationships with four members of the core cast. It is impossible to experience the entire update in one go, but the way to get the most bang out of your playthrough would be (mild spoilers!) to go to the festival when offered the choice, and when it ends either watch the fireworks with F or go back to the inn for a special scene.
In the current build, F has the most complete path comparatively at 2/3 scenes, with Yu at 1/3 and Eli at 0/3. The polyamory kick-off scene is also currently pending. The next update will bring Yu and Eli up to 2/3 at the very least, though hopefully there will be more to it than that.
Also in this update: fixes to the long-standing cave collapse bugs in Chapter 3! Hopefully. I’m pretty sure. Crossing my fingers.

Oh wow, this looks amazing! The art style is so sharp and beautiful, and I’m honored to see my game rendered with it. It’s even selling me on Eli’s ugly vest-thing–which is pretty much the most impossible feat of any fanart the game’s received thus far.
