The newest member of Hermitcraft has no mouth.
Or– well. He might have a mouth. But he also might not. No one’s really sure. There’s a betting pool about it, apparently, with a fair number of entries. Not that Mumbo’s checked, or anything, because it would be rude to speculate about a man’s mouth or lack thereof, but–
Okay. He’s checked.
Cleo had started the wager, or Scar, or perhaps both. Someonehad been inspired by their very loud argument about Grian’s mouth, anyway. It had been a good-natured argument, as far as any argument involving Cleo was ever good natured, and as far as Mumbo could tell it had gone thus:
Cleo had seen Grian zooming past on a boat, and had been very sure there was no mouth where a mouth should be. But Scar had very distinctly heard him speak when he’d visited Scar’s base, which would strongly suggest the presence of a mouth. And Cleo had pointed out that Scar hadn’t actually seen Grian’s mouth before drowning like an idiot, and Scar had pointed out that you can’t really speak without a mouth, now, can you–
And then they’d decided the perfect way to solve their disagreement was gambling, apparently.
