My dearest Ravana,
This is going to be the last letter you’ll receive from me, my love. To be completely honest, I have dreaded this day’s arrival since we first spoke it into existence all those millennia ago. Knowing that these past few centuries have been our last as a inseparable bonded pair breaks my heart. Coming to terms that the next eternity will have us forever apart, shatters me. If I could make a wish, it’d be that you stay by my side through our life.
I hate to even acknowledge the reality of watching you change and wither. Your frailty is hard to grasp after knowing you for as long as I have. However, I promised you all those years ago that I wouldn’t let you go in pain or discomfort.i fully intend to keep that promise of a painless end. Since my goal as your bond is to give you the best.
