What is colostrum and why are these sessions so dang expensive?

I started offering colostrum nursing sessions this week.

Nursing this late in pregnancy can and does stimulate uterine contractions. My stomach was tight as a drum during most of todays session! This makes nursing a bit less comfortable for me but mainly my price reflects the cost of the medical supervision I have to undergo to do this.

If you are wondering whether a colostrum session is worth while, it would help to understand just what colostrum is and why its so limited. Here is some information borrowed from le leche leagues website.

The human breasts produce colostrum during mid – late pregnancy and through the first few days of breastfeeding. It is a specialized milk that is clear to yellow in color and syrupy in consistency. It is low in fat, and high in carbohydrates, protein, and antibodies to keep a baby healthy.

It is low in volume often not even an ounce is produced at a time but high in concentrated nutrition.

Colostrum provides large amounts of living cells and a high concentration of immune factors.

Colostrum works as a natural and 100% safe vaccine. It contains large quantities of an antibody called secretory immunoglobulin A (IgA). Colostrum also contains high concentrations of leukocytes, protective white cells which can destroy disease-causing bacteria and viruses.

In other words, colostrum is a crazy cocktail of immune boosting substances. Like breast milk, it still is not completely analyzed and the properties of some of its components are still being discovered. This is just the stuff weKNOW about it.

So for the next few weeks I am offering the chance to try a substance that few adults ever get to taste and you get to drink directly from my breasts and you might even get to be healthier for it!

Why Milky Why?

Perhaps the most frequently asked question I get is simply why do I do what I do?

Am I simply after the money?

On the simplest level, yes. I am here advertising because there is money to be made.

But there is a lot more to it than that.

I enjoy nursing and would probably continue to nurse adults sporadically as my time allowed even if there wasn’t a penny in it for me. I would just pop an ad up on craigslist when the mood struck to do so. Minimal time invested, fun had, back to life as we know it.

Offering nursing as a paid session simply allows me to do it on a regular basis!

I offer 2 sessions per day, 5 days a week, at the moment and charge $60 per session. Its a very reasonable price and makes my service accessible to anyone on nearly any income.

What I offer is hard to find. There is not a wet nurse on every corner. There is by far more demand than supply here. I could ask almost anything I wanted and get it. I could instead choose to charge $150 per session. I could easily book 4 in a week at that rate. If I booked a 5th, then I might have something left over after paying bills.

Wait…why am I not doing that?

Anywho…..I started offering fetish indulgence in answer to the large volume of requests for it. It does add an element of variety and interest. However the main reason I created the option, is to give my clients an outlet for those experiences they crave.

The bottom line is, if I am spending time with you instead of my children, then it darned well is going to contribute to their college funds.
