The fact that Olaf has his hair in a French braid during Episodes 4 and 5 leaves us with two tantalizing options: either Olaf knows how to French braid his own hair or he has some other Viking French braid his hair for him. I don’t know which option I love more.
I LOVE THIS. I choose both: he can do it himself when pressed (he learned on a boring sea journey, like I learned during lockdown), but it’s a kind of big deal bonding moment when another Viking does it for him.
Let’s be honest: Canute would be super picky about who gets to shave his undercut and really only lets Agnarr do it.
