Fiona had brought you to the school to show you off. Cordelia had her girls, and well, Fiona had you. She’d come across you completely on accident, but once she saw your power, she kept you close. She doubted that you were the next Supreme because well, at the time, she hadn’t felt herself slipping yet. However, she did believe that you had a place on the council, that’d you’d be the one to usher in a new era for witches in America.

At first, it had been tense between the two of you. Your own mother had been neglectful, so you knew how much it must have hurt Cordelia to see Fiona care for and nurture you. After awhile, it became clear to her that Fiona didn’t care about you, she cared about the power you harnessed. So, she began to ease up on you and the more time she spent with you, the further she began to fall for you.

“I’ve brought you something,” Cordelia said as she stepped into your little space. Fiona had demanded that you have a place of your own. It wasn’t inside of the house, but still on the property. You looked up at her and smiled, motioning for her to step further inside. “You can stay in the house you know. You’re one of us, even if my mother tells you different. It’s okay to accept the sisterhood.”

“Your house gives me a bad feeling. No offense, it’s too noisy,” you told her. Cordelia nodded, respecting how you felt. Nobody was clear on what your powers were exactly, but you had a strong connection to spirits. Everywhere you went, it seemed that you made a connection to someone new. Normally, the ones who’d died with nobody to carry on their memory.

“It’s Fiona, isn’t it?” Cordelia asked you. You didn’t respond to her question. You felt awful about it, hearing Fiona screaming for you every single time you walked into the house. You’d blocked her spirit from your little shed, and you’d stay there for as long as you could. Cordelia had new girls brought in and the house was full, but you were never present inside. “It’s okay. I know what it’s like to lose someone who was like a mother to you.”

“Myrtle,” you said with a small smile. You hadn’t been around the red haired witch long, but you had taken a liking to her. The two of you stood there in silence before you looked at the book in her hand. “Is that what you’ve brought me?”

“Oh, um, yes. Mallory, she um, said that you’d be interested in it,” Cordelia said and you smiled as you took it from her. You flipped through a couple of pages and read through some passages. “We saw it when I took the girls out earlier.”

“Thank you Miss Foxx,” you told her as you set the book on your shelf. You grabbed a little flower pot from your window and handed it over to her. “I noticed you trying to grow some a couple months back. It’s a bit tricky, but there were instructions in this book.”

Cordelia took the flower and the book on arcane botany you’d grabbed off of your shelf. She glanced down at the flower in her hand and smiled a little. She looked up and over to where you were standing. Both items were set down on the table as she took a step towards you. She took your hands in hers and bit her lip as she glanced down at yours. It felt like it had been such a long time since the two of you had confided in each other in such a way and you’d been missing her. However, with Misty’s return, you had been under the impression your intimate comforts weren’t needed.

“She won’t bother you in the gardens,” Cordelia reminded you. You gave a small nod and Cordelia leaned in to kiss you before she ran off. You watched her go to the greenhouse before you sat back at your little desk and read over the book she’d dropped to you about little trinkets to temporarily ward off unwanted spirits.
