I was a bit intrigued by the ‘Andy Warhol Diaries’ series on Netflix so imagine my surprise when I discovered there’s already a book out about it! Seriously though I realised I’d never read the diaries, only ‘A to B & Back Again’, and so got this slab of late ‘70s/early & mid ‘80s upper stratosphere NYC, a time & place in history I’m forever fascinated by. And it’s kinda great, very flat - I can imagine Aki Kaurismaki turning it into a a 4 day long film called ‘Warhol Goes Business’.
