#all roses have thorns

day 10! besides the obvious beauty of the powdery pink blooms, i love the emphasis on the thorns that the roses have. all roses have thorns, and sometimes we pierce our skin with the hidden thorns when eagerly trying to pluck a beautiful flower. the carefully concealed pain behind the beauty is something i’m reminded of every day. was the beauty there to cover up the pain? or was the pain there because beauty cannot exist without pain?
