#amazon the rings of power

Staying away from the Tolkien fandom for the Amazon Show. I’ve been inundated with people trying to convince me to hate something I haven’t seen yet. It doesn’t work that way.

If it’s a good story, told well I might keep watching, if I don’t like it, I’ll stop. I’m not really a book purist, or a canon purist, but I respect those who are.

I gave Game of Thrones every chance, read the first book, watched some episodes and decided it just wasn’t for me. Did the same with Outlander. Thing is, I decided ON MY OWN. Nobody else’s opinion influenced me.

I did the same with Star Wars. Just bowed out and stayed away from the toxicity. I was oblivious to the fights and hate. Life was good, at least as far as Star Wars was concerned.

For now, I guess I’ll stay with the craziness that is the MCU.

This isn’t me championing a show I’ve never seen. I find out about the future the same way everyone else does… It might suck….it’s just me reminding myself about the things people objected to in back in the day….but you can’t blame people for not remembering things if they weren’t there.
