As I am fascinated by Justin Chon, I decided to watch this indie low-IMDB-rating movie called High Resolution. One of the best cinematography for AMWF love story! Every frame is as flamboyant as it could be. A piece of visual art with brilliant choice of colors. The leading actress Ellie Bamber portrayed a fragile porcelain doll that hit every man’s soft spot. Even though I am usually attracted to the confident and the feisty type, the only thing I had in mind was “to marry her”. It’s a crime for a man to leave her unprotected and drowning in tears! She reminded me of some cute blonde I used to know back in London. The only thing I do not like about the movie is the plotline. It’s literally a “high” resolution – something director shot when he was on drugs? But then I read the story of the novelist Tao Lin (the movie is based on his semi-autobiography Taipei). Tao Lin and his wife Megan Boyle definitely live a more vibrant life than most of us.
