You can’t look me in the eye and tell me Megumi isn’t the way he is because of Gojo’s influence

Gojo definitely showed up to Megumi’s parent teacher conferences in middle school on his delinquent ways all proud of his little troublemaker and teaching him pointers on how to hit harder next time that Megumi reluctantly but absolutely incorporate into his next fight.

Megumi talks like a kid and eats like a kid because any other parent probably tries to make their kid more “adult”. But Gojo’s whole thing is that he wants the kids to be kids so he never talks down to a kid and Megumi clearly doesn’t expect to be laughed at for how he talks. This is Gojo troll we’re talking about, if Gojo even made fun of him just once Megumi would’ve changed his whole speech that day. But he carries on being himself

And even in their very first interaction, Gojo asked him “what do you want to do” like an equal, and only after Megumi makes his own choice does he take Megumi away from the Zenin clan. Always treated as an equal and despite their age, power, and status differences, Megumi never feels the need to hide his emotions. If he’s annoyed Gojo knows about it, if he’s mad Gojo also knows about it. He’s not the angry angsty stock shonen rival because despite all his abandonment issues, Megumi has never felt shy about expressing himself (okay maybe a little angry but he is a teenager, cut him some slack)

“So… when are you gonna call me otou-sensei?”

“Have you ever realized that no matter how many times you try to convince us, the more we’ll reject that idea of yours?”

“But you call my fiancée, kaa-san!”

“Because she legally is!”

“Sometimes I feel like everything’s all too much. In a moment of self-loathing, I keep thinking: we’re just kids. We shouldn’t be obligated to fight and then all the resentment comes flooding in. And all of a sudden, it feels like you’re all alone in there and that you’ve been abandoned.”

“Except you weren’t.”

“Except I wasn’t.” he agreed, echoing the sentiment. “Despite all these madness, sensei was the one who stuck with me the most. He was the one who fought for me- to give me a semblance of sanity in this mad, mad, world.”

Silence engulfed them both for a moment. A sense of false peace hanging on top of their heads.

“You could say, he was the father I never knew.” he whispered before he could even think, his eyes widening as he looked at his companion who looked surprised at his confession.

“…if this comes out, I will make sure to wake you in the most obnoxious way possible for the rest of your student life, you hear me?”

“…crystal.”

I swear, I love writing about Gojo and his relationship with his students [and his fiancée (oc)]. It’s just that… I need all mental fortitude and tremendous amount of writing skill before I can even write a decent scene. T^T

Also- holy fuck but these conversations are bullshit and now I need to put this in my notes cause this is some quality bullshit.
